Care and Usage

  • Before First Use: Wash thoroughly with warm, soapy water or place in the dishwasher to clean before initial use.

  • Washing & Cleaning: Top-rack dishwasher safe. For hand washing, use mild dish soap and a non-abrasive sponge.

  • Helpful Tips for Food Odours or Stains: Highly pigmented foods (e.g., tomato, turmeric) or strong ingredients (e.g., garlic) may cause natural surface staining or residual odours. To help remove stains or odours you can try the following:

  • Leave in direct sunlight for a few hours to help lift stains.

  • To help eliminate odours, soak in baking soda and warm water or a 50/50 hot water and vinegar mix.

  • Drying & Storage: Air-dry upside down over a bottle or rack, or wipe dry with a clean cloth. Ensure the bag is completely dry before sealing for storage to prevent moisture buildup.

  • Heating & Cooking: Microwave, sous-vide, and oven safe up to 230ºC. For oven use, place on a baking sheet or tray. Do not allow direct contact with heating elements. When heating in the microwave, leave the seal partially open to vent steam and use caution when opening after heating as escaping steam can cause burns.

  • Freezing: Freezer safe down to -40ºC. Leave about an inch of headspace at the top when freezing liquids to allow for natural expansion.

  • Looking after the Longevity of Your Bags: Avoid turning completely inside out to preserve the seals over time and steer clear of any sharp blades, edges or pointed utensils against the silicone surface to prevent punctures.
